Your Family Care & Guardianship Services (YFC) is approved by the State of Wisconsin to be court-appointed as guardian or conservator for disabled clients who may need assistance with their personal affairs and or finances. YFC can also be named as the trustee or successor trustee, personal representative, or agent for persons doing their estate planning. YFC assists many clients who may not have family members, or suitable family members, to serve a fiduciary capacity.

What We Do
- Call and visit often
- Return calls
- Listen to the person’s thoughts/desires
- Help make decisions
- Treat the person as an adult
- Respect his/her PRIVACY
- Work as part of a team with all providers
- Keep accurate records/accountings
- Pay bills on time
- Handle financial and medical matters on behalf of a client as long as DFPOA and DHPOA documents remain in effect
What We Don’t Do
- Have a conflict of interest
- Make decisions without consulting the person
- Be disrespectful
- Make decisions where the court has not given power
- Treat the person as a child
- Use any of his/her money or property for the benefit of the guardian
- Make decisions where the court or the estate planning documents have not given power
